Party rests up. Gronk and Harald sleep while Faefina and Bori take first watch. They decide to explore in the morning. Judy has advised to look but not touch. Faefina and Bori discuss Bori's rage. Bori covers up the tattoo. Bori reflects on how he'd do anything for her.
The top of the cave roof is lifted off, and a massive dragon looks down. Party prepares for battle but dragon flicks others away and picks up Faefina. Dragon pins down Bori, threatens to eat Faefina while Bori watches. Dragon, about to eat Faefina, says to Bori - 'Wake Up!' Bori wakes to see Judy trying to wake him.
Rest of party wakes up. Bori says dragon was attacking, Judy is confused but reassures him.
Judy discusses passage - Gronk mentions 🎖Genial General offer of ship. Judy throws a crystal for Gronk to distract him. Judy mentions 👿undead force of power in the city. Harald resolves to go to dock to find boat. Faefina rolls ball to see if Harald will be friendly, confirms he will be.
Judy says we must go through Judy's properties to find links. Mentions Lite, suspects foul play by church of IO. Says he's due a visit. Harald to visit on the way. Judy says church of Mei or Dei may be able to help. 🧌Gronk will join 🧔♂️Harald, 😎Bori and 🐰Faefina will check 👿Crowley's property.
Gronk drinks potion of Charisma, looks amazing somehow with derelicte chic. Harald and Gronk head to the harbour, notice a large ship, see steward haggling with well to do couple asking for a list to the new world. Couple offering 200Gp for passage to new world. Gronk thinks steward is playing with couple. Gronk & Harald offer to take on couple.
Steward directs everyone to second mate. Offers passage to party for help with adventuring jobs, offers to direct to first mate, Liam.
Gronk and Harald see a Ronin on the ship watching them.
See a beautiful Neka on the ship, clothing of the night sky.
Harald and Gronk go to visit Lite. See many people leaving the house. Recognise some of them as those who gathered around the Seneschal. Enter house, seems to be a mourning vibe. Harald asks about Lite - he felt overwhelmed in church, fell asleep and won't wake up.
🐰Faefina and 😎Bori investigate 👿Crowley's house. Walking into the back yard, they see a garden filled with vegetables. While Faefina steals everything she can, Bori looks through the window. Can see that Crowley probably lives there alone. Bori can't see any traps. Bori picks the lock to get inside. Door opens to clean house. Faefina uses glasses of past viewing, sees Crowley pacing furiously, one eye burnt out. Appears to think of looking for something. Bori realises that whatever upset Crowley is upstairs.
The two sneak up the stairs, find a few bedrooms, a study, and a privy. Investigating the study, Faefina finds correspondence between Crowley and his secret benefactor. Notice that letters start to stop address Crowley, speaking instead to those sneaking in his house. Last letter reads: "I see you heroes. I do appreciate how you have tried to stall me. The seas are treacherous this time of year I hear."
Bori and Faefina start looking for traps, don't find any. but do find a speck sized floating eye. Bori manages to grab it, crushes it. Wisps of shadow escape through his fingers. Bori grabs letters, Faefina, and runs out. They fail to notice the beautiful Neka with night sky coloured dress watching them.
Party meets up at the harbour. Faefina wants to leave, not in ship. Beautiful elven woman in night sky dress, Neka, says a portal is not available, but flight across the sea is possible in the ship. Offers to introduce us to her twin brother, the captain. Tells us she can look at Lite. As Lite is put on bed, she says 'He needs protection'. Asks if party is aware of dark things found in church of ☯Ila.
Says the darkness 🧔♂️Harald sees is because he doesn't look elsewhere. Lite's darkness comes from a fiend of the lower realms. Harald says he saw Seneschal of IO. This is not divine. Tap at the door - Greg walks in, looks at 😎Bori, and says 'Hello friend' in perfect Giant. Neka says party has three hours before leaving, and Lite will require daily prayers.
Harald goes to tell Judy. Harald finds Kineeta having tea. Says our patron has made themselves known. Kineeta is impressed with travel arrangements. Kineeta hopes nothing has followed party from their lair.
At the 🚢Ekl'alian they see the captain, who greets them. Kineeta and Judy board the ship. Harald is told he was last, but is sure he saw someone else, tall and shrouded, also boarding the ship and heading to the lower decks.
Party go to investigate and find mystery passenger. While investigating, they feel the ship move, taking off into the air. Below decks, crystals in the wall illuminate the area. Harald spots figure at end of corridor, back turned. The monstrosity turns to reveal itself as a creature that can infect the minds of others. Faefina casts Command to make it stay in place. It growls.
Harald attacks with halberd, slamming it against the bulkhead, for 14dmg. It screams.
Bori attacks with staff, hits once, for 9dmg. Attack seems to hit harder than expected.
Gronk hits with Chaos Bolt, freezing and thundering for 12 dmg.
Faefina casts Guiding Bolt, hits for 19 radiant dmg. Then uses Spiritual Weapon, which misses.
Creature stands still, getting larger and taller. It slams into Bori and Harald, missing them.
Harald hits on opportunity attack, 10dmg, and gazes into black void of it's mouth.
Harald hits with backend of halberd, uses Menacing Attack to frighten creature, causing 10dmg. Creature is not afraid.
Bori attacks with staff, hitting once for 7dmg.
Gronk casts Mind Spike, for 17 dmg.
Faefina casts Toll of the Dead for 4 dmg. Spiritual Weapon hits foe 10dmg.
Creature is looking battered. Long arms touch up to touch the ceiling, and it spider climbs across the ceiling. Harald uses opportunity to hit it off the ceiling, for 8dmg.
Creature bites Harald. Bite burns in his brain, hits Harald for 6dmg.
Harald tries pushing creature back with halberd, misses.
Bori hits twice, for 17dmg.
Gronk casts Shatter against back of ship to avoid Harald and Bori. Shatter hits for 15Dmg. Gronk drinks Orc beer to protect against physical damage.
Faefina hits with Guiding Bolt for 12dmg.
Creature, wounded, looks at party as it's mouth opens to reveal a black and gaping maw.
Harald sees death and past horrors, Faefina sees sorceror in purple robe. Bori sees Faefina being sucked into maw. Body folds into itself.
